Its a classic story Of a woman and a man Hes sent to war in a foreign land
While he fights in the burning Summer She lives in a freezing Winter
He waits for the Fall That will call Him back where he belongs, back home She prays for the Spring That day will bring When hes more than just a voice on the phone
Its such an old tale Were not the first, were not the only That doesnt make it less lonely
While you fight in a burning Summer I live in a freezing Winter
You wait for the Fall That will call You back where you belong, back home I pray for the Spring That day will bring When youre more than just a voice on the phone
