Sweet Dates.
Dark as gore the stagnant river is, burning buses clouds of dust from razed homes, dead children and guttural voices crying for revenge
Friends and foes blood soaked up by thirsty soil where palm trees of peace one day shall grow; sweet dates we will eat, but not just yet
