A year has passed and I couldn't even speak
And we have made it; we've been strong and weak
But you still love me like when we were young
We still sing our song like we've previously sung.
I love being with you; every moment we share
Reminds me of how selflessly you love and care
We've discovered the only way to remain is love
You're my keeper; I'm your angel from up above.
They said we wouldn't make it; look at us now
Statistics were wrong; don't even ask me how
But the proof is standing right in front of me
I'm yours, which is all I ever wanted to be.
I know that it's a struggle to remain together
When everyone says I deserve someone better
When the world is against us, all I can say
Is I know that the only way is love, today.
I'm here in my class, surrounded, but alone
Our song is corrupted; I have lost the tone
I need you here; yes you, I need all of
I shamelessly admit; the only way is love.
