What is this face you see? Nothing more than a mask of ignorance. What of this laughter you hear? Nothing less than the blinding of innocence. This tattooed smile, sketched permanently Marking the reason for my being This plastic face, presented daily A silhouette of the person you were seeing Daily encounter with the mirrors Because I know I secretly control them You see, they are easily fooled For they see what I choose to show them They cannot show me what I wish not to see And they feed people my delusions For they reflect the faade placed in front of them Paving the way for my illusions Look as you wish, praising my work You may stare lovingly at my reflection standing there But you do not compliment me for who you see But rather yet, you compliment the mask I where.
