They Just Are

What a fallen star
so battle scarred
yet came too far
now forever marred
just a dragonfly in a jar
three over par
lost in a borrowed yard
trust in this lifetime is barred
pushed from the moving car
hung up feathered and tarred
it is what it is and they just are
wandering souls trying too hard
breaking hearts into shards....

Loved the flow.
