I am the hunter, alone in the night. I am the fangs, and the claws that cause fright. I lurk in your dreams, in shadows it seems. Nearly upon you, yet never quite seen. Of your fear, don't ashamed be For, know, men have named me. I am Pasht, Bastet, the hunter in the night. I prowl by dark, and sleep by the light. I am the hunter, of whom you dream. I leave my prey on your doorstep And wonder why you scream.
