Stranger

If I cry right now,
If I show you my tears,
Would it make you wanna stay,
If I admit I wasn't right
And if I take your blame on me,
Would it make you wanna hold me,
As you used to do.

I'm strong, but I still afford
To cry and pray on my knees
When I know that's the only way
To make you wanna look at me,
Without turning your head away,
As if I'm kinda Maria Magdalena,
Cos you blame me on your mistakes,
And forgiveness is alien to you,
No matter how hard I'm praying
And telling you that I love you,

You're just like God,
Ignoring your own sins,
You're perfect in the other people's eyes,
So I'm probably the one who sees you real,
I'm the one who sees all of the miseries
You cause by your violent actions,
You torture, you kill my soul,
As if I ever make you wonder who
Was standing in the room.
But you see it for yourself that I didn't.
So tell me why are you torturing me?

I'm strong, but I still afford
To cry and pray on my knees
When I know that's the only way
To make you wanna look at me,
Without turning your head away,
As if I'm kinda Maria Magdalena,
Cos you blame me on your mistakes,
And forgiveness is alien to you,
No matter how hard I'm praying
And telling you that I love you,

You're the stranger, appearing
In my life from time to time,
You're nothing like the person
I once fell in love for.
And only color of your eyes,
Keeps giving away that this stranger,
Torturing my soul with such brutality
Is real you.

I'm strong, but I still afford
To cry and pray on my knees
When I know that's the only way
To make you wanna look at me,
Without turning your head away,
As if I'm kinda Maria Magdalena,
Cos you blame me on your mistakes,
And forgiveness is alien to you,
No matter how hard I'm praying
And telling you that I love you,
Cos I still love you, the same you.

I can feel the intensity burning through this.
You are so right when you say we see what we wish to see.
Isn't that true of so many situations in life ?

Steve
