how can I lie, artless, at your feet? crude & immediate noon at my back squinting, you seek to know me artless, I have no form but sculpt together clay & love. . . silence & time. . . embrace. . . you cannot force in narrow-mindedness but inspire image in slow deliberate strokes thumbs moist leading silt like silk in hands overdue for holding powerless artless taking shape
