Everything Ends

Grief
|
Time is not enough for me Merging with the sounds of traffic Autumn swelters with moist green leaves Spoiled yellow and brown The moon spills black across white hours Striking matches at the memory Of a worn and tattered gown Grown engorged with memory, and scented With the brevity of plucked and sordid flowers
In time our lives divided In time our hands and faces, once intertwined In yellow walls with noisome spaces, Broke apart Leaving guilt and tears Shuddering smears Of promised love
Time is not enough The years cross the thresholds Of the heart
In the heart, everything ends

I felt a 'sigh' at the end of this read. Beautiful.
