I could die on your lips, I know that I could, I could wait for you forever, I know that I could, But you'd never ask me this, You'd never leave me this way, You said that. And your word will be enough, Yes, sweetheart, it'll be enough.
You could be the shadow of mine, Or the chords of my Spanish guitar You could be the song, I love to sing, Or the part of my predestination But you will always be with me, You'll always be my baby love, Cos my love is strong enough To love you till the day I die.
I could be the breath on your lips, Or the fairyland from your dreams I could be both the poetry and prose Or your eternal muse... But the answer is always clear: You just need me to love you for you, You said that And your word will be enough, Yes, sweetheart, it'll be enough.
You could be the shadow of mine, Or the chords of my Spanish guitar You could be the song, I love to sing, Or the part of my predestination But you will always be with me, You'll always be my baby love, Cos my love is strong enough To love you till the day I die.
I know I could live right here, In the depth of your heart, I wish I could save you from all the things That cause us pain, if you'd ask me to. But I know you never will do, You strong and wise enough, To handle that by yourself, Though you've never said that. But your silence was enough to understand that.
You could be the shadow of mine, Or the chords of my Spanish guitar You could be the song, I love to sing, Or the part of my predestination But you will always be with me, You'll always be my baby love, Cos my love is strong enough To love you till the day I die.
