I am nothing
So as to say without you
And empty canvas thirsty for paint
A hopeless sinner sitting waiting for his saint
Embody me, baptize me, take me, break me, remake me
make me see god
Without him I will stay nothing
A vaccum filled glass tube
A dense lack there of light cant seem to shine through
I am to be reborn of a thousand small deaths
Depth charges sink like beating hearts into cranial inkwells
Teach me to be a kid again
How to play with childlike abandon
Lets race to the swingset and see who can fly the highest
Brightest stars waiting to be wished upon
Before I become myself again
Store this me so when free will has reclasped the irons
You will see what I can be
You have the key so when I hit my knees
I am humbled
Tired of playing dislexic dog
Tired of wading through the illusionists fog
Fired before I ever got the job
I am ready willing and able
Crucified to a bloodstained poker table
Sitting on needles and pins
Pinning me down to a lable
Trying to not let escape the squeak
Climbing the spiral staircase from stomach to heart waiting to hear myself speak
Truths swollen dried tongue craves yearns pine
for rejuvenating nectar expunged from faiths quivering petals
medals awarded to my brain gut and balls
my eyes cry bitter tears that thaw my aortic walls
time to feel again time to see again yes its time again time to breathe
but for now lets keep it secret just between you and me
