Break The Ice

Topic: LostLove

You're walking by as a shadow
Just like you do not see me
Standing in the rain, waiting
For you to turn around at me.
You slide a fleeting glimpse,
Piercing right through my soul,
You shake raindrops from your hair,
It seems that just about
My sight will touch your eyelashes,
But you don't even look at me.

As I'd like to break the ice between us,
As I'd like to reach out for you now,
To turn time back if it's still possible,
To return that look on your face, which
You looked at me in our first time.
Please, darling, let me break the ice,
And I promise you I'll make the things right.

So many times, so many times,
I've been living by the hope
That you'll knock in my door again,
But now I see the stranger in your eyes,
Not kept remains of former love.
If you only knew, how much I wanna touch your hand
How much I wanna break the ice between us
If you only let me, if you let me love you again,
If you allow me to look you in the eyes.

As I'd like to break the ice between us,
As I'd like to reach out for you now,
To turn time back if it's still possible,
To return that look on your face, which
You looked at me in our first time.
Please, darling, let me break the ice,
And I promise you I'll make the things right.

I could heal your broken heart, if you let me to,
I could break the ice between us, just let me to,
Let me and I won't let go of you again,
One time was enough, and it's almost killed me,
I don't wanna go through this alone again,
Allow me to breathe one breath with you, honey,
Let me break the ice.

As I'd like to break the ice between us,
As I'd like to reach out for you now,
To turn time back if it's still possible,
To return that look on your face, which
You looked at me in our first time.
Please, darling, let me break the ice,
And I promise you I'll make the things right.

Poetry is much like a great photo, a single "moment in time" capturing many feelings and emotions. Yet, they are very alive; creating stirrings within the readers who form visual "pictures" of the expressed emotions within the Poem. ©
