You steady me,
You push me all the way,
You are my yesterday, my tomorrow and my today,
You are a simple guiding light,
A whisper upon the breeze,
I close my eyes for a second,
And allow myself to dream.

My breath is full and frantic,
My pulse quickens it's pace,
you, my love are beautiful,
I'm a waste of space.
I thought these dying embers that dwelt within my heart
would never again ignite,
But you, darling are the spark.

Chance has smiled upon us,
How? I just don't know
Amongst the rubble of the ruins a flower begins to grow,
Remove the bricks and mortar,
Let the sunlight shine through
Only I can tell you how good it feels when I'm with you.
This feeling grows and grows
Time will tell you that it's real
Everything I want to say is surrounded in fear.
