Cool air strokes me
It feels kind on my face
It fills my lungs and lets my life race
my heart beats and my blood flows
All because the wind blows
Clear water holds me
Enters my every pore; Consumed
And in its love danger looms
For I won't find safety in its arms
Nor passion is there in its charms
Calm sleep takes me
Beckons me with its serenity
And in its clutches I'm half an entity
Lost in the fantasy played before my eyes
Captivated by its lies
Warm shelter protects me
It tried to shield me from harm
But as it's captive I'm disarmed
Its hardened touch doesn't soothe
And it never claimed to be smooth
Dirty money tempts me
Promises me luxury and shiny things
But pain lives in lonely kings
All the money in its masses
Can capture girls of other classes
You love has me
Air may start my heart; May let my mind alive
Water, Sleep, Shelter, Money and I may thrive
But not one of them will start to do
For I'd surely die for lack of you
You need not wonder 'if,' my dear,
I 'put you first.'
I'd gladly stop this heart right here
If you feared the worst
My love for you is endless
You make my incomplete whole
You heal my heart and I your soul
Together we are love
