In a Dream I can't remember
You were there
Form or Function
I can't recall
So long forgotten
Quite the surprise
Waking up to
The sound of rain
It might have been sad
Had I not invited
Any ghost who dared
As I laid down to sleep
Like a prayer
Never expecting a reply
Like a prayer
Left to ponder
The intricacies
and possibilities
Of the mind
I can't remember.
