In dead of night
The world stood still
Moon in limbo
Air of chill
Mist all eerie
Shadows deep
Where devils play
And secrets keep
Such wounded souls
Tredge long their path
Bloodied minds
Hang at half mast
Amidst the nothing
Howling winds
Fusing leaves
Against their sins
Screams of remorse
"Please, let us leave"
To no avail
No such reprieve
Forever here
Your sentence stays
To walk these streets
'Till break of day
