Stuck Inside My Head

Contributed by DanMWinters on Tuesday, 17th November 2009 @ 05:34:37 PM in AEST
Topic: SecretLove

Blue skies in the morning
Red skies in the night
No clouds on the horizon
A true sailors delight

A flag snaps to attention
Waving in the breeze
The geese honk loudly oer head
Winging north with ease

I thought Id get away
Go where she had never tread
Get myself distracted
Shes stuck inside my head

Therere other women out there
Hell, theres some right here
But my vision never falters
Her face is always clear

The breeze is on, the sun beats down
More beauty than Paris
Theres nowhere I feel more at home
Than right next to the sea

I thought I would be free here
But what Ive found instead
No matter where I go to
Shes stuck inside my head

The people here are friendly
I feel I know them well
But Ive got this cloistered secret
I know Ill never tell

My work progresses smoothly
Ive got a job to do
But Im avoiding that old saying
To thine own self, be true

Though the heavens dim so quickly
And I find I crave my bed
My mind will not stop working
For shes stuck inside my head

Great work! I know exactly how it feels to have someone stuck inside your head.
