One Day you Will Love Someone

To K,
One day you will love somebody
Love them with a fire inside of you
Knowing that they complete you
And give your life real meaning

And all the while you feel this love
You will also feel fear
A fear that one day this fire could somehow die
For you know that without that fire and that love
Your life would lose its meaning

So, should one day you feel that mix of love and fear
You will begin to know what I felt
When you were solely mine
And I was solely yours
And nothing could come between us

I hope that whoever you love then
Will never cause you this pain
Removing your fire
Removing your reason for living
By splitting you in half and
tearing out your soul
So that you cannot feel,
Cannot love,
And can no longer function anymore.
