Wandering through life aimlessly
I have no purpose here
Leaving behind no memory
That is my biggest fear.
My always hazy future
Has suddenly become clear
Look around, astonished
It is you that is so near.
You have given me a reason
A reason to love life again
Everywhere I go, now
My life is finally worth something
I now have a reason
A reason to dance and sing
Because now I have a purpose
I'm finally worth something.
Drifting cluelessly around
Until I ran right into you
You picked me up, took me home
And proved your love was true.
My always lifeless heart
Now has something to do
And I have nothing to fear
Because you feel it too.
I now have a reason to smile
A reason presented as this ring
I can laugh instead of cry
Because I'm finally worth something.

I love the way this poem starts off,
helpless and so lost in nothingness,
then to build to such a crescendo with love, joy and happiness x
