And so they sat
In a field of faces
In a field of souls
Long lost forgotten
...
And so they sat
Remembering old times
Watching life go by
Always together
...
There they sat
In the middle of the earth
No longer caring
No longer wanting
...
There they sat
Two broken toys
Neglected, forgotten
Only knowing each other for comfort
...
A man sits away from them
Hugging his knees
Looking at them every so often
He too is lost
...
A man sits away from them
He isn't sure of the time
Isn't sure of what they are saying
He isn't sure of anything
...
A man moves from stone to stone
Stares at the scratching
They are nothing
more lost souls uncounted for
...
A man walks over to the two who sat
in a field of black
in a field of nothingness
this is where the broken weep
...
There the three sat
The broken objects
The unwanted hearts
The lost pages of old books
The three who sat in the field of black

I agree, this was a very good read. I sat too and felt the lost souls/things/people. And when you can move your reader along with the write...you have 'it'. :)
