Greener Still

The greener grass
Guides my way
By the time I reach it
It has faded to grey

Numbed emotions
Medication and Denial
Dreams lost
Ambition defiles

Wonderful ahead
Traumatic behind
This grey hue
Is all I can find

Wind blows
Deep green waves
Chasing better things
All of my days.
