The place he loves
I know im here the gate creaks, as the chain slips , why am I here? I look to you , your eyes betray nothing. I know the fire is lit, that familiar smell penetrates my senses, stinging my eyes, Do I see you smile im not sure, We lay together fire and frost, lust and love,
I listen in the darkness, theres just the whisper of the trees, and our breath in the night I watch the shadows dance around from the glow of fire, My heart aches as I feel the familiar beat of yours, The tenderness in your touch I want to believe, Yet I know, reality in time will soon be upon me.
All to soon the illusion has ended ,I feel your body begin to stir I lay still, I do not want it to end, I dispel the silent tears that catch in my throat, Each time we leave, the silence descends , another memory to torment my heart..
