I hear it crackle as it burns
Head so dizzy from all the turns
Im in this maze with no way out
Frustrated I begin to shout
In the distance I see it stand
I start to stare and raise my hand
I motion for it to come near
It doesnt move, I see it sneer
Confused, I just dont comprehend
Into the dark I do descend
I make my way to where it waits
Restricted by these rusted gates
I grab and shake I cant get through
This I can no longer pursue
I sigh as I fall to my knees
It smirks at me as though to tease
I feel so close yet so far away
Its not meant for you I hear it say
Now lower my head, for this is done
I decease beneath the setting sun
