freedom is the new candybar, once someone has it, everyone wants it.

she turns to see the clock says four,
they are banging at the hospital room's door.
you cannot hide in there all day!
her reply is i do not plan to stay.
sitting and staring at a wall,
waiting for that door to fall.
she can hear their struggling and their tries,
and then the tears disappear from her eyes.
she stands up slowly and starts to smile,
for she sees something she hasnt seen in a while.
that independent girl with a smile so bright,
and a face so beautiful its out of sight.
the brave girl who looks death in the eye,
and says she is sorry but she isnt ready to die.
she reaches out and feels the glass,
and she feels the outer frame thats brass.
the mirror tells no lies at all,
right then she hears the door begin to fall.
she looks at herself in the mirror once more,
and sees the men breaking down the door.
HA they scream but she is no longer there,
and they feel a chill in the air.
they look out the window and see her laughing in the rain,
no tears, no sadness, no hurt, no pain.
happiness is in her eyes and joy fills her mind,
freedom and no restrictions is what she wanted to find.
her sickness cannot stop her heart and neither can those men,
all she wants is freedom and now it can be her end.
