I Am The Weeping Willow.

Topic: MiscPoems

I sit alone under a willow tree
Cradling the broken heart within me
So tired...I'm so tired
I close my eyes but I'm never sleeping
It seems everytime I think about you
The willow starts weeping
Raining my twisted emotions
Without a sound
It's as if my pain bleeds into the ground
Watering the roots of this sullen tree
Grown from the seeds of sadness
This tree represents the sorrow in me
Breeding lonely shadows
Cradling a single flower that grows
An orchid named Hope
Colored like the sunset
Hope was sprung from a seed called tragedy
And though we may rest side by side in this field of ashes
Hope will never save me
Because I am trapped within this destiny
Of sorrow, suffering and rage
The soil of the earth below me like a stage
While the stars shine down upon me
Lighting up my sadness for the world to see
As I rise from roots of who I used to be
All alone...
Underneath this willow tree.

Nice use of a metaphor.

Your vision is captured in perfect words.
