I've Got The Painters In!

Contributed by laststarontheleft on Thursday, 3rd December 2009 @ 06:42:47 AM in AEST
Topic: HumorPoetry

It's freezing cold, my door wide open
I've got the painters in
Rags and brushes fill the place
Whilst they make their merry din

"Cup of tea, two sugars love"
Is all they seem to shout
"Tomorrow, bring a ruddy flask
My sugar bowl's all out"

The radio is blairing
Playing endless beaty tune
I thought it couldn't get much worse
Till one piped up to croon!

Splatters here, and brushstrokes there
The stench just makes me shudder
"Now watch your language please young man
Or else I'll tell your mother!"

They really are a cheeky bunch
With all their boyish traits
But if they don't get finished soon
They'll be in dire straits!

lol Great stuff once again, following on nicely from 'Supermarket brawl' .

The moral of the story? Avoid painters and supermarkets..

Hi,

How did I miss this one???

Very funny - and just about sums up the dilemma
we've all faced at one time or another where
our house gets taken over by an invading
'painting and decorating' army of singers,
comedians, and tea drinkers!

Well done! Great to see a bit more humour on
this site!

Tommy
