Only One

Contributed by robsalinas on Monday, 7th December 2009 @ 05:23:01 PM in AEST
Topic: oops

Why do I not know which way the world turns?
How the morals have changed of gentleman,
The coming of age has morphed with the
Pursuit of Knowledge, where
Knowledge and Social Savvy have also morphed
So that one cannot separate the two.
How is it that by day the population grows,
Yet on the contrary by day I feel more alone?
Spatially, no, but when stripped down to beliefs
And what is necessary for appropriate happiness,
That metaphoric overpopulation
Is beyond nonexistent.
Standing ground has caused me to stand confused!
Am I the just or the unjust?
The right or the wrong?
The conscious or unconscious? Hero or Villain?
Dead or alive? Sane, or the insane?
The Lone Wolf knows no territory, no pack,
Just his path and the instinct of survival.
Am I the only one who waits for the harvest
And does not let impatience and the consequences
Of unjust curiosity kill the crops?
More so and simple, am I the only one?
More simple and psychological,
Is there only one?
If it may be that one idea must strive in the
End, whether it be mine or those unknown,
There so I will remain the Lone Wolf
And in my own spectrum of life,
The only one.

You have a wonderful command of words.

and your pacing is ... "spot-on".

Your thoughts are pure and cut.

"If it may be that one idea must strive in the
End, whether it be mine or those unknown."

nice lines.

nice poem.

Keep
writing !
