The lowly beggars of the meadow sway In rolling currents
By high decree the price of life they pay Unjust deference
To stone-souled lords of rust and blood who reign Tortured unrest
Defeated kings their backs drawn stiff with pain Winter's bequest
The sun of dawn approaches from the east And orbits low
As this realm reels back into the beast By ebb or flow
So from the meadow rises up a spire Against the odds
And on its peak a jagged shard of fire To judge the gods
