I saw you'd turned around
Didn't wanna hear what they'd told,
Cos they were sayin' spiteful things,
Humilatin' ya just 'cos ya don't look like 'em.
They just ain't seen the beauty you possess,
Don't even doubt about it cuz you got it within,
Maybe it's hidden from the other people's eyes
But believe me, girl, that's only for awhile.
Don't pay attention at the stupid stuff
That people say, tryin' to raise 'em,
Cos always there's someone to gloat over
Without second guess that it might hurt someone,
Yes, self comes first, self before all
And the people likes more those who looks like 'em,
But don't let it get the best of you, girl,
Cos no matter what they say, you're beautiful.
Look inside the mirror, baby,
And you'll find the proof of my words up there,
This world can be unbelievably cruel
Especially to them who doesn't fit in it,
Cuz no one understands the world wasn't made
For yardstick of the one and only template
Yes, people are all the same, but that's no conclusion
That we shouldn't judge the people by what they do.

This is just the phase
You need to survive
Cos in the end an ugly duck
May turn to the beautiful swan,
There's always someone to find
The way to raise himself
By hurting feelings of the others,
And this should be survived.

| These types of positive writes are what I enjoy best. It kind of remind me of the "Girls are like apple trees" poem. |
