Conviction of beauty

Beauty is in the eye of the beholder That is what they say And by looking at you now I see beauty, perfection, exquisiteness You're hair is of a golden tint with a wispy curl Piercing blue eyes are what you possess and they turn heads I've seen only a few like you before And the last man was killed by his vanity
He never thought of what the future could hold Rather he only cared of what his features showed Yet this was done with the help of deception A taste of debauchery; a hint of evil Still the corruption didn't show For it was hidden under a purple veil, a frame of secrecy
He believed he could see his flaws as well as his Maker If only he could change his ways For the love of his friends and lovers awaited him Nevertheless, the man refused to change He believed it was too late to turn back With that being said he kept in hiding from the Lord
He was destroyed the way he destroyed his lover and friends If only he had stopped when he saw the blood on his hands So you see, beauty is precious to all But it is only a trait; a physical fading A bit of advice: Don't let tempting words get a hold of you Don't let a bad conscience capture and convict you And never let your pride, your youth ever control you
