Never will I trust another person in my life
Never will I open up to my most inner thoughts and feelings
For it just leaves me exposed to your underhand dealings
You've ruined my past, my present and my future
And you don't seem to care -
about the way I feel, the way I'm left to deal with everything
The sadness and futility I feel
You seem to think
that everthing will be ok if we just keep pushing on
not talking about what has happened
it's not right and you know it
You want love but I can't show it
For I am wrestling with my faith in people
and most importantly my faith in you
Do you trust me? you say
I trust no-one anymore
I never will
You've done this to me
So why should I believe you wouldn't do it again?
Maybe not now
But sometime in the future
You have nothing to lose
But I have lost everything and have nothing to gain
Everthing that I held dear and precious in my heart
Has been destroyed by your own hands
Where do we start to begin anew?
Forgive and forget?
How do you do that?
The longer you tell me nothing
The more resentment I feel
You were my wife!
Never will I trust another person in my life.

This certainly sends a message. I wonder if poetry is the form though with the context. Well done. I think there/'/s a lot of anger being expressed along with bitterness.
Good to get same off your chest I would think. having read, I share your hurt if that helps. Hang in there you/'/ll find happiness again in another that you can trust.
