Unconditional Release

Topic: selfstruggles

Unconditional Release

Staring at the pages, not a one with a drop of ink
Deeper into the chair I let myself sink
Thousands of words flowing through my brain
Waiting to be releases like an early spring rain

I asked and I begged for the words to leave
Please Lord, grant me a temporary reprieve
Why cant I pick and choose the writes I do?
Why did I agree to do this for you?

Hundreds of writes swirl around and around
Getting so dizzy that I fall to the ground
Now God! I demand that this cease!
I expect an immediate unconditional release!

To walk away and never write another piece
Surely would set the raging river to peace
I remember those days when my mind was clear
But then I remember those were the times my heart had fear

Please God, let me change my demand
Let me be again be guided by your hand
But from my brain give these writes their unconditional release
They are not mine to control, to my mind please bring peace
