Conversations arent made
Or had.
They arent accidents,
Or peanut-butter jelly sandwiches.
Theyre never easy.
If I made you
A peanut-butter sandwich
If it were that simple,
I wouldnt be here, alone,
Writing instead.
Because all I know
Is how to take thick, lingering doubts
That stick around, for days
Coat it in good intentions, and jokes,
And sweet, sweet nothings,
And seal it between two slices of small talk.
But conversations arent made, or had
,
And you still wont eat my sandwiches.

| This is a great read/write. The 'won't eat my sandwiches' line ties it all togeather very nicely. |
