IN BED WITH A GUN

Contributed by longhaircg on Monday, 21st December 2009 @ 12:48:05 PM in AEST
Topic: DarkPoetry

so alone in this house with no where to call home,
ripped robbed and resented by those I had known,

late at night sleep wont come, my mind wont shut down,
strange thoughts are found, tomorrow will come,
unless I find my gun in the darkness I'll creep,
then eternal sleep, against my faith I would bleed,
gave up as I had given up on me,
laying down on my bed so many tears ripping
out my heart alone in this dark,
I thought all my mind could reach, I cried out
so lonely all alone if I could have just someone to hold me,
sleep over took me exausted relief, I awoke for a second
with the most gental arms around me, as a baby I fell back to sleep,
morning sun bright in my eyes, I jump up with the gun still at my side,
knowing something differant resided in me, I was held by an angel
I felt it holding me I no longer have need to leave,
through this darkness I came to a shining new life,
through this I truely believe, there is something or someone
that needs me to be me,

I really enjoyed this write.
such scary thoughts here, with underlying tones &
an unexplainable presence beside it.
Great write!
