DUSTY NIGHT IN NOVEMBER
STRUTTING DOWN THE ROAD, UNSEEN WARDING DEEP WITHIN. FASTER THAN IT SEEMED POSSIBLE, MY FLOW DEEP IN A SPIN. IMAGES THAT THRASHED THE CALL, BECKONING ME TO SEARCH DEEP WITHIN. A CLEARING WAS NEARING MY ORBS WERE PEERING, AT METALIC OBJECTS THAT LOOKED SO THIN. EYES HEFTY BUT WERE LOOKING THROUGH ME, BECKONING OTHERS TO FOLLOW. I FELT HOLLOW PROBING EVERYWHERE, NO HIDING PLACE AVOIDED THE STARE. FROM DUSK TO DARKNESS I FELT LIKE LEAD, INSTRUMENTS EXTRACTED SECRETS INSTEAD. THEN AS LIGHTS FADED, EYES NO MORE, HELD ME QUIMMERING, SENSES WERE ONCE MORE LAW. WHAT WAS I DOING STANDING WITH OTHERS, CHILDREN, ELDERLY AND PREGNENT MOTHERS. CLEARLY CONFUSED, MY SENSES BRUISED, I WALKED HOME ALONE. AS SOCIETY OVER THE YEARS, REMEMBER THE TEARS, OF THE MEMOIRS OF THAT NIGHT. STORIES TOLD UNTIL WERE OLD, IN A DUSTY NIGHT IN NOVEMBER.
