Have you ever just looked at the sky when it snows? All around, white dust setting a table But the sky, have you ever looked at the sky when it snows? Faint red lights, and weary tracks When you look at the sky, what do you see? Gray, it is gray. From inside a pleasant room, a fire in the glow of laughter Staring up through a shattered windshield as the dust mixes with blood From corrugated cage, a cup brought to frozen lips Gray, it is gray. Oh, but it is gray as far as you can see! If i were to walk, I would walk until I fell. And i would fall under the same sky. My back would gather dust, my head a shattered windshield Tracks leading away to the same gray. acrid smoke, chimney smoke, tobacco smoke burnt rubber, hot fire, black lungs and the dust receives them all. The gray sky beckons them come, and they rise and dissolve.
