The Treasure That Found Me . . . Ben

Contributed by myheartsvoice on Monday, 11th January 2010 @ 02:51:48 PM in AEST
Topic: LovePoetry

A

schooner fare

i did not need

to search the endless

sea,

i

saw you there

true love indeed

the treasure

had found

me.

More rarer than a diamond

more valuable than gold,

more

fairer than the morning sun

in which the sky does

hold.

All the while

you were the smile

my eyes would soon endure,

the sweetest treasure

love could bring

the queen who made this man

a

king.

The

world i did not have to roam

to know you were the one,

you merely called my heart

your home way past

the

setting

sun.

And so it is

unto this day

such pleasant irony,

in heart and name you became

the treasure that found

me.

Magic In The Morning . . . Ben

'Twas

magic in the morning

as you roamed about the yard,

my heart you gave no warning

in a moment caught off

guard.

How

could i not love thee?

as a rose you did caress,

all my eyes could see

was an array of

loveliness.

I

watched you from our window

as the world went passing by,

that's my wife to me i said

the one who shares

more than our bed,

who's sweetness is that of

a lamb who's love made me

but what

i

am.

'Twas

magic in the morning

ever since the day

we

met,

then of course the night time

of that who could

forget.

Where

every kiss was made to tease

while 'midst the dark

we aimed

to

please,

you touched my heart

and then my soul

my weakend will you did

control.

Magic

in the morning

is all of what you are,

that smiling glow

within your eyes

would rival any

star.

Ben

I look forward to reading your work.Your poems make me feel good about love in general

I love the way both your poems conclude
"And so it is unto this day such pleasant irony,
in heart and name you became the treasure that found me "
and
"that smiling glow within your eyes would rival any star"
timeless love as always :) God bless.
