The black corridor, where light hides Rooms, filled with treasures and the anger of Orphans. Death. Injury. Threats. The night is our day. Family, so recently the enemy Now loved Decaying rooftops, as the bodies of children Are dragged away. The law stands above the Filth. Men delivered to the door by the Shadows. THE MAN BEHIND THE DESK SITS PROUD.
Past is beyond our reach. Traps are turned back on us. Windows are broken The rope goes taut. Knives lie in the grass. THE MAN BEHIND THE DESK LAUGHS.
The Smiling Girl is here. Walking the alleys and looking for Shadows Now in our home. Our only safety lies in our masks. There are no secrets found. Only places. The face at the window. The scars on the arms. Let there be love, for a moment. Manufacture love. Betrayal dances along the knifes edge. The Girl will always Smile. THE MAN BEHIND THE DESK SCOWLS.
Men line the streets, waiting to see the Shadows In the sunset. The darkness has hostages And mugs in the great wide open. Recognition is hate. The Shadows turn their backs. THE MAN BEHIND THE DESK IS BLEEDING.
In the past, throats are cut and Children sleep naked in the red. Knives lie in severed hands. We see passion in the short blades. Death shines.
A thousand bombs that will never explode. The lines are down. Men are coming. On rooftops you see all But then you fall and Burn.
A letter written to us by name Green hair, and two wheels. Green eyes with black fire. The receiver hisses threats with flowers, An eye at the keyhole stares at the Underwater tan. Blue hair, read face, Five card trick. Aces high. The Shadows Ace Of Spades. Undrunk wine. White. The night. Black. Your lips. Pink. THE SHARK WAITS PATIENTLY.
A Shark with eyes in the back of its head, A mouth that tastes of brass. Unwrapped, undelivered. Your lips. Mine. Secrets found. Allowed. The scream in the night Rips at hearts and wakes Us drown in blood. The windows are still broken. Guns. Chaos. Death. The Shark drowns. The New Man Behind The Desk Has just popped out for five minutes. Ill get him to call you back.
Fathers of Shadows return from tired darkness. White and black in the sex of violence. CLINK. CLINK. CLINK. CLINK. Black and blue. Now black. Now falling. The blade in the night.
Awake. The past dances on our laps. More fathers for the Shadows. Gunpowder, incense and wine, The cross of blood. White ghost.
Repent, as the women strike you, As sparks fly into faces, The bullets fall and the whiskey is gone. A childs hand in yours, And a gun. Swords and scythes my stab my eyes, But cats can see forever. Life is in the paper recycling bin. Statues break. The cats close their eyes. You are electric. You are kissed. YOU ARE THE SHADOWS.
