He is scornful in his idolatry,
Of her, attempting to possess,
Life when it only wants to be free,
Not realizing his love becomes less,
Every time he races through the halls,
As if some devil on his heels,
Devil of lust and greed, thought falls,
From his mind, past his heart, he feels,
Nothing but this sharp, stinging spike,
That pokes him as he sleeps and dreams,
And every other minute of the day alike,
Until in his mind evil freely teems.
With automatic motion he goes about,
Each and every one of his days,
And I know, without a doubt,
Actors cannot forever perform plays.
