~Unfulfilled Chance~

Topic: anguished

Before I saw him he spoke my name
so sweet and gentle there were no games
we talked for hours our laughter grew
I'd love to know someone like you

Then came the day when face to face
I auctually saw him in that place
his smile so warm, a gentle touch
I can't forget him for I think much

But with the passing of this time
he's drifted away he'll never be mine
I was only given the slim sweet chance
at least for a moment I felt my heart dance

I didn't ask that I always be near
I didn't expect that my heart he'd hear
I only wished inside of me
he'd have given the chance and let it be

But life for me is not simple and plain
when it comes to heartache it falls like rain
maybe it's meant to be so alone
to never know love or how it is shown.
