RESURRECTION OF MY DAYDREAM

Contributed by ricrud on Monday, 18th January 2010 @ 07:01:41 PM in AEST
Topic: DarkPoetry

In the middle of my imagination
The sun goes down and a tear falls
On my golden crown no longer lusterous
But cracked burnished scarred heavy with ash
To my Darkness my heart stays motionless
Because Death is following my dream
I want to take my Last Breath with my eyes wide open
So slide me a razor to slice a sliver of hope
To this miserable sack in the middle of my skull
Ive melted all the rainbows Snorted all the sunlight
High on the obvious and The misery of my days without Bliss
Im so broken-hearted Cracked and bleeding
Looking forward to the invisible pain
Pinching my lip
Sending me on a tail end spin
Face ender in the gravel
Now
Im infected more than usual
A storybook of Leprosy and Fables
Of limbs Disintergrating
No longer preferred By the Cannibals in this City
My life Drifts
Piece by Piece into the rust belt gutter
Crawling fast in front of the rats
Smiling instead of crying As a Stranger gnaws at my shoe
A smug patron of the sewer Arts
Eyes focused on me like a Dali painting burning up in blue
Just as my imagination continues to run wild
And afflicted
Abrupt and Unnerving
The rain begins to Fall

Im left standing in the Rain
Cold
Wet

Living like my dream.

This is very good and there many lines that stand out but I really like this one.

"Eyes focused on me like a Dali painting burning up in blue"
