HEAVEN'S ONLY IN A BOOK

Contributed by ricrud on Monday, 18th January 2010 @ 07:04:33 PM in AEST
Topic: DarkPoetry

Darkness fills the pasture like the years gone by that have raped my past
Frozen from the hand around my throat.
Like Wolves moving under the moonlightquick to impose their fear
And their teeth ready to bleed the freak dry.
My bones ache.my heart reaches out to the animals as they
Crown me with their clawsmidnightwell at hand
And mine are bleeding and tornFingertips dirty rushed through the dirt.
No means or reason to fight to live another day
Im just another animal living and dying pawing my way through dreams and dead end hallways
Soon My heart will be torn shorn of its pulse losing red
dripping some kind of sadness
some kind of madness
some kind of emptiness
Well beyond the moonlights reach
In the morning light More scavengers will come to feast
From scarlet to bleached Im an overnight festival Im another carcass pieced
Heavens only in a book.
Heavens Only in a Book..

Another good write. Very deep and yet again your imagery is amazing. Good job.
