Valentine's Day has been
two years,
Since I was forced to face
my fears.
To prison I went away
from you,
Time I served to just
get a clue.
I was released to return
home,
Only to find I was alone.
No love, no home, no husband
for me,
It all had come so plain
to see.
As scary as it was, a new life
I began,
This wasn't apart of my
original plan.
Worked and stayed home is
all I did,
I kept myself pretty well hid.
The day finally came when you
found me,
This was not what I wanted
couldn't you see.
Being away from you was as
hard as could be,
But seeing you again was
killing me.
I love you with all of my heart,
But the sad thing is we have to
be apart.
Oil and water we just don't mix
This is something we just
can't fix.
No matter the pain it's still
the same....
You and Me???
We just can't be together again!!!

You can really feel how torn this person feels about not being able to continue forward but also the love that is still there.
