Poured my heart and soul into this life
I thought I'd found somewhere I belonged
I fell in love with this place, these people
And nothing could seem to go wrong.
Fell in love with the one of my dreams
The woman who completed me, at last
But it seems it was all too good to be true
Now it all falls around me like ash.
I will not stand by and watch as
My mistakes unfold before my eyes
I will make everything better
So darling, dry your eyes.
I will make myself matter
I will gain your trust again
I won't go down without a fight
Believe in me, my friends.
You gave your life to me, I know
You trusted me with your love
I tried to tell you the truth
But it just wasn't enough.
Now I must prove myself to you
I will not lose all I've found
We will survive this struggle
Shh... Don't make a sound.
