Who was that mystery man my dad Twas he who led the way He taught the world to read and write So proud the millions say He taught us how to fish and hunt No bullets he would touch He taught us how to love the wild My god he knew so much The pearls of wisdom he would endow He talked of foolish pride He built up walls to keep me out Let no one get inside But I like he have built those walls Don't let the hurt get in Bite your lip and be a Man To cry was such a sin So complicated men take heed Let's make our lives as one So prodigal for all my life I am my fathers son
