I have been wanting just one simple thing
Prayed before I slept, and then I dreamed
I picture your amazed face when I showed you
The life I live here, you loved it, it seemed
I pray that I could share this life with you...
I could not find a rhythm; I had no beat
Until you came and gave me purpose here
I have never doubted my ability to see
And I knew your heart held no fear
I pray that you want to share this life with me...
So love me like the trees love rain
Want me without any shame
Hold me close as if I may leave
Though I could never go; please believe
That I care for you; I'm completely sure
Just be yourself; be the man I fell for
Love me like you know I love you...
My dear, I will share this life with you.
I cherish the way you look at me
Because I know this is forever
And believe you know it is true
You are worth any endeavor
I will share this life with you...
