When you hold her in your arms,
Oh it feels so tenderly,
Do you wish that she was me.
When she sleeps inside your arms
And your lips touch her skin,
Do you wish that it was mine?
Do you wish that she was me?

I remember the day when you told
That I'd get the world at my feet,
And the way you told you'd needed
Nada mas, mi corazn,
And inside my soul I still know,
It could've been,
Yes, it could've been.

I remember
The way you brought me to tears
With your private jokes,
So I'm just curious
Does she get you sens of humor
Like I did, darlin'
Do you get the kisses from her
Quite as sweet as were mine?
Don't you...

I remember the day when you told
That I'd get the world at my feet,
And the way you told you'd needed

And inside my soul I still know,
It could've been,
Yes, it could've been.

Maybe, I just keep lyin' to myself
Just to feel a little bit better
When I missing someone who's not
Who's not missing me anymore
I know I can't wash you off my skin
But I can't forget what could've been.
