I always liked to think
I'm strong;
and that nobody can ever
make me cry
Today, you proved to me that
I was wrong
I've been the weakest
all along.
I tried my best, not to
shed a single tear
But in the effort,
my eyes end up unclear
my head begins to ache
a little more than I can take
So let me cry
today, tonight
Let me stay awake all night,
if I have to
And let me cry
just over you
so I don't cry tomorrow
Today, tonight
I hope my tears can wash away
the thoughts of you
Yesterday was still
in my head, so clear
I used to think
of us together
Hand in hand,
we're walking
on the lane towards forever
It was a long away, yes, but
I'd like to think we had the chance
Today, the lane has ended
the path had broke
like my heart it's hard to mend
so let me soak
within my tears
today, tonight
Let me have the courage
and strength, tomorrow
to stand again
to hold my head up high
to never look behind
So just this once
today, tonight
just let me cry
