In the woods, late at night. All alone, no help in sight. I suffer from a terrific plight, And find myself filled with fright! Because,.you see, Im afraid to say, That I can hear them talking. Those would be demons Always stalking, Always gawking, To my fear they all come flocking. To lurk and loiter, and mill about. Every night I want to shout! Go away! leave me alone I need some peace within my home! My sanity is quickly fraying, And my friends are always saying, Pay no attention there's no one there But visit at night,. They do not dare. Ever present, yet never there. Each night I hunt them without care. With baseball bat or knife in hand, I sneak through the woods, As quiet as I can. Following their stealthy footsteps. I listen for their quiet whispers, And rage at their quiet snickers. Because you see,. Its a game they play. Night after night and now in the day. Amusing themselves I dread to say. Of peace of mind, theyve robbed me blind. And no solace do I seam to find. As night after night I cant unwind, Alone as I am within my mind.
