WHAT MAKES AMERICA DIFFERENT

What makes America different?
She has crime, sickness, poverty and internal diseases; babies die and are murdered in scores,
Why is she considered to be the land of the free and home of the brave, the place of the peaceful tranquil shores?
Her soil is soaked in blood, spilled upon her streets and in her many wars, yet her flag fly's proudly in the shadow of her torrent rage,
As the whole world burns her glory and muddies her name in a vindictive psychotic rampage.
She is envy of all the earth; they desire to partake of her delicious fruit,
And by ignorance personified, the nations try to overcome her by hatred and with an illicit pursuit.
They desire to be like her without making the sacrifice, which she has made,
Giving her people the freedom to pursue righteousness, peace and joy without being affraid.
In her belly, freely her people rise up to protest against her in the face of the nations,
That is pictured upon the canvas of the sky, which was painted by the hand of God at the beginning of creation.
What makes her the target for the rest of the world, everyone taking aim for the next pot-shop,
Why don't they let her rest, ceasing from their ceaseless rhetoric, concocting a sinister and devilish plot?
She is a land overlooked by the hand of God, oversaw by his glory and blood in spite of the evil in some of her ways,
For there is a remnant within the boundary of her borders that in God's love, trust and obeys.

I'm not sure whether or not to insult this poem. It seems to be anti-american which automatically makes it golden, but then it seems that you try to end it with some pro-american crap. Which downgrades your already crappy poem to an even lower level of being.
So what is it? A classic anti-american diatribe that is destined for poetry fame, or a crappy little ditty written by some patriot in Kentucky? |
